Mithrandir + Zendesk

Connecting Zendesk gives every AI agent your company uses what customers asked and how support answered. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Cursor answer with the ticket or article behind them. Each person sees only the tickets their Zendesk role allows and the help center articles their user segments allow.

What it reads

What Mithrandir reads from Zendesk

  • Support tickets with their public replies and internal notes
  • Each ticket's group, organization and assignee
  • Help center articles, published and draft

Access

The access rules that carry over

  • Ticket access follows each agent's role: all tickets, their groups' tickets, their organization's tickets, or the ones assigned to them.
  • Internal notes reach the same people as their ticket, and move with it when it changes group or assignee.
  • A help center article reaches the staff its user segments match. A draft, its author only.
  • Customers in Zendesk are not users of Mithrandir.

Setup

Set up in three steps

  1. 1

Your Zendesk admin creates one read-only API token for the company.

  2. 2

Your tickets and articles come in, and new ones follow from then on.

  3. 3

People ask from the agent they already use and get answers from the tickets and articles they can see.

Examples

What your agents can now answer

  • “Has this customer reported the same problem before?”
  • “What workaround did support give for the export error last month?”
  • “Which help center article explains the refund policy?”

Questions

Zendesk and Mithrandir, answered

Do internal notes stay internal?
Yes. Internal notes reach only the agents who can see their ticket, never customers and never the rest of the company.
Can sales see support tickets?
Only if Zendesk already lets them. Access follows each person's Zendesk role, nothing wider.
Does Mithrandir reply to tickets?
No. Zendesk access is read-only.
