Mithrandir + Outlook
Connecting Outlook gives every AI agent your company uses the email history behind its customers, candidates and projects. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Cursor can tell you who said what to whom, and when. A thread is seen only by the person whose mailbox holds it and the people on it.

What Mithrandir reads from Outlook
- The subject, the people and the dates of every thread in your members' mailboxes
- The full text of threads about a customer, candidate or project your company already tracks
- Nothing beyond the subject line for threads that match none of those
Access
The access rules that carry over
- A thread is seen by the mailbox owner and the people on its From, To and Cc lines. Nobody else, however senior.
- Your Exchange admin can limit which mailboxes are read at all.
- Attachments are not read.

Outlook and Mithrandir, answered
- Can a manager read their team's email through Mithrandir?
- No. A thread is seen only by the mailbox owner and the people on it. A title or a role adds nothing.
- Is it the same application as Teams and SharePoint?
- Yes. One read-only Microsoft 365 application covers Outlook mail and calendar, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Does Mithrandir send or change email?
- No. Outlook access is read-only.
