Mithrandir + Confluence
Connecting Confluence gives every AI agent your company uses the specs, runbooks and decisions written down in its spaces. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Cursor answer with the page behind them. Each person sees only the pages Confluence already lets them view, with space permissions and page restrictions intact.
What it reads
What Mithrandir reads from Confluence
- Pages in the spaces you choose, with their place in each space
- Who last edited each page, and when
- How many times a page has changed
Access
The access rules that carry over
- A page is seen by the people who can read its space, as users or through groups.
- A restricted page, or one under a restricted parent, is seen only by the people named in every restriction.
- A draft is seen by its author only.
Setup
Set up in three steps
- 1
Your Atlassian admin creates one read-only service account for the spaces you choose.
- 2
Your pages come in, and new and edited pages follow from then on.
- 3
People ask from the agent they already use and get answers from the pages they can view.
Examples
What your agents can now answer
- “What does the incident runbook say to do first?”
- “Which requirements did product sign off for the new release?”
- “Where is our process for approving a new vendor written down?”
Questions
Confluence and Mithrandir, answered
- Do page restrictions carry over?
- Yes. A restricted page, and every page under a restricted parent, reaches only the people Confluence lets view it.
- Can we pick which spaces are included?
- Yes. You choose the spaces, and you can add more later.
- Does Mithrandir edit pages?
- No. Confluence access is read-only.
